History

A cactus of gloom grows and spreads inside,
like a tightened hug, leaving no free breath.

Beautiful lines :)

Thank You Pallav

These lines were inspired by this picture and they are incomplete lines...
I tried to conjure the story behind it. The history. But it's like something is so beautiful that it leaves you feeling sad.

Thank you Tanzila

I hope and wish the gloom dispels soon and the tightening hug should be from peace!

It will... it sure will... as one of my favorite quotes says "what doesn't destroy me, makes me stronger"

I have always been intrigued by the quote you mentioned. I haven't really deciphered the meaning or intent behind it. How can something which nourish you destroy you?

Nazia Mallick said...

Tanzila, it means- 'What nourishes me "also" destroys me.'

'Also' is the key word here!
