Breaking Dawn

Lingering sleep
on crimson edge
furrowed sheets
half open buds
misty breath
a lone star
love’s witness
spent tenderness
the azure wonder
slumbering gold over grasses
like a wave washed through
the chiffchaff sang
morning’s resplendence
And from the panes dripped the dew.
